Welcome to the KNee OsteoArthritis Prediction (KNOAP2020) Challenge!

KNOAP2020 is a challenge to identify which knees will develop symptomatic radiographic knee osteoarthritis within 6.5 years follow-up. We will release baseline magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data, X-ray images, and certain clinical risk factors for this prediction task. We invite all researchers to participate in the KNOAP2020 challenge.

How does it work?

We will provide a test set of 423 knees that do not have symptomatic radiographic osteoarthritis at baseline. Baseline 1.5 Tesla MRI scans, X-ray images, and clinical variables of the knees are available. Your task is to predict which knees will develop incident symptomatic radiographic knee osteoarthritis after 6.5 years follow-up. Algorithms can be trained and tuned on any suitable data (e.g., OAI data). Additionally, we will provide a small set of data (30 knees) with outcome labels.

Each submission will be evaluated against the outcome variable. The results will be published on this website. We will also write up a scientific paper, co-authored with active participants that provide sufficient information.
